by J. Michael Miller

Short films are often taken for granted. They aren’t created and advertised by major studios and they don’t get runs in theaters. This is such a shame, because many short films can display a similar high quality. In today’s day and age, everyone is always on the go. Save yourself some time and here are the five fantastic horror short films you need to see for yourself…

1.)  Still Life

2.)  The Birch

This short film features a schoolboy who seeks protection against his bully from an ancient monster. There are many great set pieces and the story will leave you wanting more. Thankfully, Crypt TV is bringing us a web series this year to satiate our appetite.

3.)  Suckablood

A a monster who comes for children who won’t stop sucking their thumbs. Featuring a fantastic narration and a clever twist you’re bound to fall in love with this gothic fairytale.

4.)  Room 8
